The challenge
Unauthorised drones have quickly become a real problem at airports, ports, and energy and water facilities. They are hard to see, but detection is rarely the hard part. The hard part is what happens next:
- Who sees what, and is it the same picture for everyone?
- Who judges whether the flight is authorised?
- Who decides, on what basis, and can it be followed up afterwards?
Municipalities, rescue services, regions and site operators need a shared picture and clear routines before something happens, not during.
How Copyl helps
Copyl does not supply sensors. Signals come from the detection equipment you already have or procure, through a controlled integration. Copyl takes over where the signal arrives:
- Protected sites on the map. The facilities and zones you are responsible for, with owners and contact paths.
- A signal becomes a case. The anomaly is linked to the site and gets a timeline that everyone involved can see.
- The agent proposes, a person decides. Agent Hub prepares the evidence and a proposed action. Nothing consequential happens until an authorised person approves it.
- Collaboration across organisations. Each actor sees the same picture, limited to what they are entitled to see.
- Traceability end to end. From signal through proposal and approval to outcome. The record holds up for follow-up, exercises and learning.
Where it fits
- Civil preparedness: routines, exercises and a shared picture for municipalities and critical operators.
- Smart City: the infrastructure, sensors and case flows a municipality already runs.
- Defence: the same chain when the protection task goes beyond civil operations.
Status
This is a planned extension of Copyl’s civil preparedness track and is not yet in the product. The foundation exists: signal, proposal, approval and decision trail. If you want to influence how it is built, or test it early with your own operation, get in touch.
