Smart Buildings

Turn sensor readings and weather into signals your team can act on. Agents propose, people approve, every decision leaves a record. Delivered through Property Hub.

Smart Buildings is how Copyl treats connected buildings: sensors and weather become signals in Copyl Signals, the same engine Smart City uses. A rule can hand a signal to an agent, the agent proposes an action and a person approves it. Copyl reads and proposes; it never controls your building systems. It runs in Property Hub, which is opening for pilot partners.

From sensor reading to approved action

What is built today, and what is coming. Planned items are marked as coming.

Sensors and weather become signals.

Connect LoRaWAN sensors through The Things Network and let readings and the weather forecast flow into Copyl Signals.

  • LoRaWAN sensors are connected from Property Hub, with building and room picked from your property tree
  • Readings arrive as push from The Things Network; pull with an API key and the Yggio connector are coming
  • Sensor data is read, never written back: Copyl sends no commands to your equipment

Rules watch. Agents propose.

A signal rule combines indoor readings and the forecast in a time window you choose, and can hand its signal to an agent.

  • Rules combine readings and forecast, for example a falling indoor temperature ahead of a cold front
  • The agent proposes the next action with its reasoning and the evidence it used
  • Nothing happens until a named person approves, edits or rejects the proposal

Every decision leaves a record.

Signal, proposal, decision and outcome are written to an append-only evidence trail.

  • Who approved what, and when, stays on record
  • The same trail serves owners, auditors and the next manager
  • Your team carries out the work in the systems you already run

You decide who sees your building data.

Sharing sensor data with a partner or supplier is an owner decision that can be withdrawn. It is built on consent and registered recipients.

  • A recipient is registered with a verified key before anything is released to it
  • Keys are released only while your consent is active, and every release and denial is logged
  • Coming: sensor data encrypted at the source, with a key only you and your recipient hold

How it works: from event to evidence

  1. Event

Something happens: a sensor reading, a forecast, a tenant message, a due date.

  2. Signal

Copyl combines related events into one signal worth a look.

  3. Proposal

An agent proposes the next action, with its reasoning and the evidence it used.

  4. Human decision

A named person approves, edits or rejects the proposal.

  5. Evidence

Proposal, decision and outcome are written to an append-only trail.

A leak sensor, step by step

One of the scenarios we are building the pilot around. A person makes the decision at every critical step.

A leak sensor reports water

  1. 1. Event

A water-leak sensor in a basement storage room reports water.

  2. 2. Signal

A signal rule marks the reading as valid and ties it to the building and the room.

  3. 3. Proposal

The agent proposes a work order, with the sensor reading and the room attached.

  4. 4. Human decision

The person on duty confirms the leak, assigns the work or dismisses the alert.

  5. 5. Evidence

Reading, proposal and decision are on record. Your team handles the leak in the systems you already run.

People decide. Copyl reads and proposes.

Copyl never controls building systems. Sensor data is read, agents propose, and your team approves and acts in the systems you already run. Every proposal and decision is written to an append-only evidence trail.

Questions about Smart Buildings

Is Smart Buildings live today?

Smart Buildings runs in Property Hub, which is opening for pilot partners. LoRaWAN sensor connections through The Things Network, signal rules, agent proposals with approval and the evidence trail are built. Pull with an API key, the Yggio connector and encryption at the source are coming.

Does Copyl control our building systems?

No. Copyl reads sensor data and proposes actions. Your team approves and acts in the systems you already run.

Who can see our sensor data?

You decide. Sharing with a partner needs a registered recipient and your active consent, and every release or denial is logged. Data is hosted in the EU.

Is Smart Buildings a separate app?

No. It is a way to use Property Hub for connected buildings. Property & Real Estate describes the wider property management; Smart Buildings focuses on sensors, signals and approvals.

How do we get started?

Book a meeting or apply as a pilot partner. Bring one building and one recurring problem, such as cold, damp or leaks.

Works with the systems you already have

Copyl does not replace the systems you already run. Your maintenance, finance, inventory, HR and sensor systems connect to Copyl through its integration platform — governed, permission-checked and logged.

You get the apps and the AI agents on top of what you already have. Your existing systems become data sources for the agents.

Smart Buildings runs in Property Hub and reads sensor data through The Things Network; your building systems stay under your control.
